DO WE KEEP THE LAW or DO WE KEEP CHRIST? by: Amanda Beamer

There is a major dilemma that is occurring in this day and age of history repeating itself and people wresting scripture unto their own destruction.

2 Peter 3:16

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

When it comes to salvation, fear of judgement happens first with conviction and sorrow for sin.  “For all have sinned & have come short of the glory of God.”  This is what’s called a Godly repentance as described in Genesis 6 when God repented.  He became grieved & sorrowed in HIS heart of the wickedness.

Proverbs 1:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
When this conviction & sorrow occurs, there is a choice that is made = whether to trust or not trust in God.  The fear of the LORD is ONLY THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE.  The just will trust and believe Christ Jesus, but fools will despise the wisdom & instruction given.  They remain unlearned and will wrest scriptures unto their own destruction.
One passage of scripture taken out of context, which gets used for this very destruction, is: Philippians 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
The unlearned will state, “see. This passage states to WORK out your salvation” in attempts to explain that our works is what gains entrance into heaven.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
And another passage the unlearned will use is: “if you love me, you’ll keep my commandments.”
Reality is, these passages are correct, but here is the kicker= When Christ died and rose again all for the atonement of sin, He not only fulfilled the Law = HE BECAME THE LAW!
Exodus 20:3
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Matthew 22: 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The First commandment of “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” has not changed.  This is stating the exact same thing that Christ stated of “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
CHRIST BECAME THE LAW.
HE IS GOD, THE WORD, MADE MANIFEST IN THE FLESH & WE ARE TO KEEP HIM.
WE TRUST & KEEP HIM & only HIM.

This is why we trust & believe CHRIST first, then He will teach us in all things & write the very law upon our hearts to do them for His will and purpose.

CHRIST IS OUR LAW!

GENESIS 4:1a = And Adam knew Eve his wife;

It doesn’t really take much thought to figure out what this scripture is talking about in this passage…

 

Or does it? . . . My SPIRIT beareth me witness.

 

We are going to state the obvious of Adam KNOWING his wife Eve = that the two joined together for consummation in their marriage.  Anyone that has studied the covenant of marriage realizes that God really likes marriage to be upheld.  His thoughts on how & what marriage is constituted of differ, greatly than the majority popular view of today.  Because of this, sexual sin has been a major topic throughout scripture.

 

FAITH = (1828 Noah Webster): Evangelical, justifying, or saving faith, is the assent of the mind to the truth of divine revelation, on the authority of God’s testimony, accompanied with a cordial assent of the will or approbation of the HEART; an entire confidence or trust in God’s character and declarations, and in the character and doctrines of Christ, with an unreserved SURRENDER of the WILL to his guidance, and dependence on his merits for salvation. In other words, that firm belief of God’s testimony, and of the truth of the gospel, which influences the will, and leads to an ENTIRE RELIANCE on Christ for salvation. (Strong’s concordance definition for faith): we are plighting faith (make a sure covenant AV RV) Nehemiah 10:1

 

In the eyes of God, the joining of 2 individuals by consummation; “they become one flesh” in the literal, spiritual, & marital sense. The engagement portion prior to marriage did not include the joining of the two until the “marriage ceremony.”  The joining of the bride & groom actually is what officiates the union to call them husband & wife.

 

COVENANT = (1828 Noah Webster): MAR’RIAGE, n. [L.mas, maris.] The act of uniting a man and woman for LIFE; wedlock; the legal union of a man and woman for LIFE. Marriage is a contract both civil and religious, by which the parties engage to live together in mutual affection and fidelity, till death shall separate them. Marriage was instituted by God himself for the purpose of preventing the promiscuous intercourse of the sexes, for promoting domestic felicity, and for securing the maintenance and education of children.

Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled. Heb.13.

  1. A feast made on the occasion of a marriage.

The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage for his son. Matt.22.

  1. In a scriptural sense, the union between Christ and his church by the covenant of grace. Rev.19. (Strong’s Concordance definition of covenant of marriage): allianceof marriage Proverbs 2:17; Malachi 2:14. — In all cases כרת בריתis the technical phrase for making covenant.

The vows of marriage include “’til death do us part.”  This does not indicate a choice of separating before death.  It means staying married to the individual until one dies.  This is why you see when the Pharisees were provoking Christ about divorce, Jesus responded “because of the hardness of YOUR hearts, Moses wrote you this precept.”  People had a tendency to divorce their spouse without just cause.  They had a hard time “containing themselves” with other people.  They would divorce & remarry or fornicate all together.

To clarify some more, “to KNOW” someone in the same sense as “Adam KNEW his wife Eve,” he physically ENTERED IN Eve in the act of consummation.   This context of the word “KNOW” can also be vindicated with the 1828 Noah Webster dictionary = “In scripture, to have sexual commerce with.”  To be able to “KNOW” someone, literally means joining together “in one flesh,” the man entering into the woman’s body.

MARTYR = (1828 Noah Webster): M`ARTYR, n. [Gr. a witness.] One who, by his death, bears witness to the truth of the gospel. Stephen was the first christian martyr.

To be a martyr signifies only to witness the truth of Christ.

                Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

WITNESS = Is a covenant binding faith (TRUST & BELIEF OF THE HEART) that exists unto death.  = = “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.”

***MY SPIRIT BEARETH ME WITNESS***

 Matthew 13:20-21 = 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word (JESUS), and anon with joy receiveth it;21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word (JESUS), by and by he is offended.

This is talking about either having the seed (word of God = Jesus) placed into good ground or bad ground.  We are commanded to love the Lord thy God with all our mind, soul, & HEART.  The stony ground is a HARD HEART.  You either know Christ or you do not.  There are no grey areas with God.  You either trust & believe HIM or you do not.  This passage is whether you have a soft HEART TO RECEIVE HIS salvation or not.

***MY SPIRIT BEARETH ME WITNESS***

Luke 8:13; 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word (JESUS) with joy; and these have no root (THEY HEARD BUT DID NOT TRUST & BELIEVE OF THE WHOLE HEART),

= which for a while believe (BELIEVED OF THE MIND ONLY & NOT OF THE HEART),

= and in time of temptation fall away (CAME TO THE TRUTH, BUT DID NOT TRULY TRUST & BELIEVE CHRIST- & THEN DENIED CHRIST – JUST AS THE PHARISEES DID OF NOT COMMITTING TO CHRIST WITH THEIR HEARTS).

= Once again, this is talking about whether the seed (word of God = Jesus) fell onto good ground or not (a soft heart to receive salvation or a hard Heart UNTO DAMNATION).

= The following subsequent passage = Luke 8: 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good HEART, having heard the word (JESUS), keep (PROTECT JESUS IN YOUR HEART OF TRUST & BELIEF = FAITH) it, and bring forth fruit with patience.  = = = PARALLEL PASSAGE = (Mark 4:16-18)

Matthew 24:14-15,19,24-30; Matthew 24: 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness (Synonymous with martyrdom = faithfulness unto death = trust & belief that never leaves) unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

= 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) = =

= First, there is the literal political Kingdom that was preached by Christ & the spiritual Kingdom preached by Christ. The political Kingdom is of when He is to come to rule & reign.  The spiritual Kingdom is the entrance of the Holy Spirit into the believer.  Rightly divide here or it will cause confusion.  The abomination & desolation spoken of by Daniel has both literal and spiritual aspects.  The majority of people already know the literal of where the anti-christ will stand where he ought not.  The spiritual aspect of it is as follows: Many names were given to Christ in scripture to depict HIS saving faith and to describe the Holy Spirit after HE enters into the believer:  (i.e. Habbakuk 2:4) “Living water,” “Tree of Life,” “bridegroom,” “oil,” and many more.  Man was created in the image of God.  Our bodies are temples and become Holy with the entrance of the HOLY SPIRIT.  This only happens with a pure heart of trust & belief in Christ Jesus.  “Twained” hearts are divided hearts of trying to serve 2 masters = both God & the world.  Like a Pharisee = giving God lip service, but their HEARTS be far from HIM.  The ABOMINATION & DESOLATION on the spiritual level is that many are saying they love & believe God, but did not truly accept Jesus’ saving faith by trusting & believing in HIM alone.  The human bodily temples are dry-shod of Christ’s “living water” of the HOLY SPIRIT.  Entrance of the HOLY SPIRIT only happens if you trust & believe Christ of the whole HEART & not divided in commitment unto Christ.

= Matthew 24: 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!  (These are they that have adulterated their HEARTS with Satan & have bore his fruit of damnation.)   

= 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, they shall deceive the very elect.25 Behold, I have told you before.26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. = =  PARALLEL PASSAGES = (Mark 13:20-23)

= This passage goes onto say how the times will be in the TIME OF SORROWS prior to the rapture & Christ’s return.  Then it gets into how everyone will be at HIS return for the literal Kingdom for HIM to rein.  Jesus searches the hearts of men.  God will divide and conquer the kingdoms of this world.  He has a sharp 2-edged sword.  You either have a HEART for HIM or you do not.  Don’t be a Pharisee by magnifying Christ with your lips only, but MAGNIFY HIM with trust & belief of the HEART.

***MY SPIRIT BEARETH ME WITNESS***
Matthew 24:44-51 = Matthew 24: 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant (TRUST & BELIEF IN CHRIST), whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?46 Blessed is that servant (THIS IS THE GOOD SERVANT THAT TRUSTED & BELIEVED CHRIST), whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

= 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.48 But and if that evil servant (THIS IS A BAD SERVANT THAT DID NOT TRUST & BELIEVE IN CHRIST) shall say in his HEART, My lord delayeth his coming;

***YOU EITHER HAVE CHRIST OR YOU DO NOT!  REMEMBER, THERE ARE NO GREY AREAS WITH GOD***

= 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken (ADULTERATION & FORNICATION OF THE HEART WITH SATAN BY RECEIVING BAD WINE OR BAD & EVIL LOVE);

= 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites (THE BAD SERVANT  IS SYNONYMOUS WITH: HYPOCRITE, DOUBLE-MINDED, A TWAINED “DIVIDED” HEART – YOU EITHER LOVE JESUS OR SATAN – YE CANNOT SERVE 2 MASTERS.): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

= = PARALLEL PASSAGES = (Luke 12:42-46; VS: 46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the UNBELIEVERS. = You either believe or you do not – there is no in-between with God.)

***There are no grey areas with God.  You either love HIM or you do not.  Matthew 6:24,No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.  ***

*** YOU EITHER TRUST & BELIEVE IN CHRIST OR YOU DON’T.  CHRIST IS LORD OF ALL !!!!  BUT TOO MANY DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE HIM though.  YOU EITHER LOVE HIM OR YOU DON’T.  CHOOSE TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE***

Matthew 18:28-35 =28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant (BAD SERVANT = A SERVANT THAT DID NOT COMMIT HIS FAITH & TRUST IN his LORD.  HE LOVED MONEY, “THE WORLD, & god OF SELF MORE.  HE MAGNIFIED his LORD WITH his MOUTH ONLY, BUT NOT WITH HIS HEART.), I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

= 33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

= (BACK TO THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT = THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL YOUR MIND, SOUL, & HEART.  WHAT IS IN THE HEART MANIFESTS OUTWARDLY.  IF YOU TRULY LOVE JESUS AS JESUS LOVES US, YOU WILL HAVE LOVE & COMPASSION FOR YOUR NEIGHBOR & BROTHER.  YOU EITHER LOVE GOD/JESUS OR YOU DO NOT = YE CANNOT SERVE 2 MASTERS).

***ONCE AGAIN, MY SPIRIT BEARETH ME WITNESS***
John 6:60-71 = 60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?  =

= (This goes back to whether you believe or not, whether you trust in Christ or not.  Faith, “trust & belief,” cometh by hearing & hearing by the word of God “Jesus.”  You either have faith in Christ or you have faith in yourself & the world.  Keep scripture in context.  Jesus is speaking to the disciples about the BREAD OF LIFE.  VS 58 = HE THAT EATETH THIS BREAD SHALL LIVE FOR EVER.  YOU HAVE TO RECEIVE THE “BREAD OF LIFE” TO HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.  You either believe or you do not.  The disciples that walked away did not trust & believe in Christ.  Judas Iscariot did not trust & believe Christ with the HEART – and then betrayed HIM.  You either love Christ or you do not.  You either trust Christ or you do not.  YE CAN NOT SERVE 2 MASTERS.)
John 12:44-48; = 44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

= (We are going to start with = No man come unto the Father, but by Me “Jesus.”  You can’t get to the Father by going to the Father.  Jesus is the mediator.  You can’t get to Jesus, by worshipping the Holy Spirit.  No man come unto the Father or have salvation except through Jesus Christ.  Jesus in this passage is talking about Pharisee type people = those that believe there is a god, like the devils do & tremble, but REJECT JESUS CHRIST.)

= 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

= (THESE ARE THE PHARISEE TYPE PEOPLE ONLY ACKNOWLEDGING GOD ALMIGHTY, BUT REJECTING JESUS CHRIST.  THESE SAME PHARISEES CLAIMED THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT DWELLED WITHIN CHRIST WAS AN “UNCLEAN THING” AND THAT HE WAS FILLED WITH A DEVIL.  THEY REJECTED JESUS CHRIST, BLASPHEMED THE HOLY GHOST, & COMMITTED THE UNPARDONABLE SIN & THEREFOR WILL NEVER BE FORGIVEN IN “THIS LIFE OR THE NEXT.”)

= 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth (TRUST, FAITH, COMMIT) = on me should not abide in darkness (WILL NOT DWELL IN DARKNESS).

= 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

= (AT CHRIST’S FIRST COMING = HE CAME TO SAVE THE WORLD & NOT JUDGE IT AT THAT TIME.  IT WAS NOT THE TIME OF JUDGEMENT, BUT JUDGMENT IS COMING SOON, VERY SOON.  BE READY BY TRUSTING & BELIEVING ON CHRIST OR HE WILL COME IN A TIME WHEN YOU WILL NOT BE WATCHING FOR HIM & CUT YOU ASUNDER FOR NOT BELIEVING & TRUSTING HIM.)

= 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him (IF YOU REJECT JESUS, YOU SHALL BE JUDGED):

= the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day (THE WORDS OF LIFE THAT CHRIST HAS SPOKE WILL JUDGE ALL IN THE LAST DAY.  JESUS IS THE ONE THAT SEARCHES THE HEARTS OF MAN.  IF YOU BE FOR HIM, THEN YOU ARE HIS.  IF YOU BE AGAINST HIM, THEN YOU ARE OF HIS ADVERSARY THE DEVIL.  CHRIST WILL SEPARATE THE SHEEP AND THE GOATS.  THE GOATS ARE OF THE ADVERSARY, THE DEVIL.  YOU EITHER TRUST, BELIEVE, & COMMIT TO CHRIST OR YOU DON’T

= THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN OR GREY AREAS WITH GOD.  YE CANNOT SERVE 2 MASTERS).

John 15:5-6; = 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

= (YOU EITHER ABIDE IN CHRIST OR ABIDE NOT.  YOU EITHER BELIEVE & TRUST CHRIST OR YOU DO NOT.  YOU ARE EITHER A TRUE BELIEVER OR YOU ARE NOT.

ABIDE = “1828 Noah webster dictionary”: to rest in or dwell in, to be sustained by, to continue in PERMANENTLY.  THERE ARE NO GREY AREAS WITH GOD = YOU EITHER HAVE CHRIST OR YOU DO NOT.  YE CANNOT SERVE 2 MASTERS.  YOU CANNOT ABIDE IN CHRIST WITHOUT TRUSTING & BELIEVING IN HIS SAVING FAITH & GRACE.  “HE THAT ABIDETH IN ME (JESUS), AND I (JESUS) IN him = HE DWELLS & CONTINUES TO DWELL PERMANENTLY.)
John 17:12; = 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

= (BACK TO KEEPING THINGS IN CONTEXT = BACK IN JOHN 16: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.  == Judas Iscariot, as we before established, did not love Jesus.  He knew that Jesus was of God Almighty, but did not trust & commit to Christ.  Judas Iscariot put his faith & commitment on money and of this world instead of Christ.

= YOU CANNOT HAVE SALVATION BY ASSOCIATION!!!

= You either love, trust, believe, & commit to Christ or you do not.  Ye cannot serve 2 masters.  The entire chapter of John 17 is Christ pouring HIS heart out to God the Father of the hour for HIM to be crucified.  Out of love & commitment, Christ died for us and then rose 3 days later = all for the atonement of sin, that we can have everlasting life with HIM in eternity.)

Acts 20:28-30; = 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

= (ANOTHER PASSAGE OF SCRIPTURE ON MAKING SURE YOU KEEP THINGS IN CONTEXT TO ABSTAIN FROM CONFUSION.

= The entire passage, Paul is speaking to his disciples about his soon departure.  Paul is speaking to individuals & uplifting them in a sad hour, because he must soon leave & will not be present anymore with them.  He warns them to watch over the flock for ravenous wolves that might draw those away from coming to the faith in Jesus Christ.  If you are “coming” to the faith in Christ Jesus, you are not saved yet; because the trust, belief, & a commitment unto HIM has not HAPPENED yet. Therefore, the Holy Spirit does not reside there.  FAITH COMETH BY HEARING & HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.  Paul’s disciples were individuals spreading the Word of God of Christ’s saving grace & faith.

= VS 32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. = = Paul, once again, was iterating the fact that only those that put their faith = trust, belief, & commitment unto Christ will be justified, then sanctified, & then glorified “Romans 8.”  Only those that truly love Christ with all their mind, body, soul, & HEART shall be saved.  You are either saved or you are not.  The Holy Spirit does not enter in if you are not committed of the HEART).

***MY SPIRIT BEARETH ME WITNESS***
Romans 6:12-13,16; = 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Vs=16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

=  THIS IS THE GREATEST COMMANDMENTS GIVEN BY JESUS HIMSELF STATED ABOVE.  To love the Lord thy God with all thy soul, mind, & HEART.  

= Acts 20:21 =Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance (to turn to) toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

= This is the OBEYING PART = TURN TO GOD.  TRUST, BELIEVE, & COMMIT OF THE WHOLE HEART TO HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.  Ye cannot serve 2 masters.  Jesus searches the heart.  He knows if you have true faith in Him & so does Satan.

= Obedience unto righteous is obeying the commandment of turning to Jesus & committing trust & belief in HIM with all your heart.)

Romans 8:12-13; = 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

= (TIME TO RIGHTLY DIVIDE AGAIN TO NOT CONFUSE SCRIPTURE.  Know when to differentiate between physical literal death & spiritual death.  The Pharisees received both physical & spiritual death because of their sin in not trusting/believing/committing to Christ & performing the unpardonable sin of blaspheming the Holy Ghost.

= VS. 1=There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to them which ARE IN (LITERALLY MADE ONE IN JESUS) Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  =

= A true commitment unto Christ has to happen first before the HOLY SPIRIT even enters in.  Those that are walking after the SPIRIT already have a spirit dwelling within.  You cannot walk after the SPIRIT if it is not present.

= “Depart from me, for I (Jesus) NEVER KNEW YOU” comes to mind here.  To “KNOW” in scripture is synonymous with Adam “KNOWING” Eve in the garden.  As an act of consummating their marriage, Adam physically entered EVE to “KNOW” her.

= Christ is called the BRIDEGROOM for a reason.  Entrance of the HOLY SPIRIT begins the consummation of marriage unto the LAMB OF GOD.  HIS SPIRIT has to physically ENTER IN for HIM TO “KNOW” you.

= Jesus searches the HEARTS OF MAN.  He knows if you have committed your whole HEART UNTO HIM or not.  The passage that states: “Depart from me, I NEVER KNEW YOU,” means the HOLY SPIRIT never entered in to begin with.  No HOLY SPIRIT, NO SALVATION.   CHOOSE TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE.  YE CANNOT SERVE 2 MASTERS.  YOU EITHER TRUST & BELIEVE IN CHRIST OR YOU DO NOT.  THERE ARE NO GREY AREAS WITH GOD.)
Romans 11:20-22; = 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off (BECAUSE THEY BELIEVED & TRUSTED NOT IN CHRIST THEY WERE BROKEN OFF),

= and thou standest by faith (BUT YOU STAND BY FAITH = BY TRUST & BELIEF IN CHRIST).

= Be not highminded (THIS IS SYNONYMOUS WITH A PHARISEE = THEY TRUSTED THE god OF THIS WORLD OVER CHRIST),

= but fear (FEAR GOD IF YOU ARE HIGHMINDED OR DOUBLE-MINDED.  SATAN IS HIGHMINDED & WE KNOW HIS END TO BE):

= 21 For if God spared not the natural branches (NATURAL BRANCHES ARE THE ORIGINAL BLOODLINE OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY),

= take heed lest he also spare not thee (TAKE HEED, UNLESS HE SPARE NOT THEE, BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF & LACKING FAITH).

= 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity (THOSE THAT DON’T TRUST & BELIEVE CHRIST RECEIVE SEVERITY IN JUDGEMENT);

= but toward thee, goodness (BUT TO THE BELIEVER, GOODNESS),

= if thou continue in his goodness (BELIEVE & TRUST CHRIST):

= otherwise thou also shalt be cut off (YOU WILL BE CUT OFF IF THOU SHALT NOT BELIEVE & TRUST CHRIST).

***IT ALWAYS POINTS BACK TO CHRIST.  YOU EITHER BELIEVE & TRUST HIM OR YOU DON’T.  IF YOU BELIEVE & TRUST CHRIST; YOU ARE COUNTED RIGHTEOUS.  IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE & TRUST CHRIST; YOU ARE STILL WICKED IN THE EYES OF GOD.  ***

Romans 8:16, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

***Last but not least, what did witness mean in the eyes of God?  It is a covenant binding faith (TRUST & BELIEF OF THE HEART) that exists unto death.  = = “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.”  The Holy Spirit bears a child of God witness; He enters and NEVER leaves if a true commitment unto Him of trust & belief of the whole heart.  The Holy Spirit remains permanently until the mortal body passes; & then, to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.  It is Christ’s FAITH that saves and His Holy Spirit is a faithful martyr & witness upon entrance of a true believer.  The Holy Spirit bears me WITNESS.***

REPENT STUDY #4 = REPENT & TRUST by: Amanda Beamer

I really enjoy reading the King James Bible very much.  The English language present in it is much more refined and distinguished than today’s English spoken or written.  There is a much deeper level of meaning to the words written than what many give credit for today, and the lack of education on older English really distorts what people think the Bible means when it is read.

A couple of examples are = double – minded & the word repent.

To start with, many megalithic type churches will loosely use the word repent without explaining what it means; or they will alter the meaning all together to mean something else outside of scripture.  This also goes for the word, double-minded.

The word repent itself has several definitions scripturally.  The first time ever used in scripture (Gen 6), when God repented, actually means great sorrow = because God cannot sin nor lie.  He can’t turn away from sin, because He CANNOT sin.

The Israelites were called stiff-necked & double-minded within scripture to show how hard it was for them to turn.  When the word repent pops up toward the Israelites in scripture = God is telling them to turn.

What are they turning from & what are they turning to?

When the Israelites were freed from Egyptian bondage, they had been in Egypt for apx 400 years.  This gave ample time to get acquainted with the gods of Egypt.  Egyptians had a tendency to serve many gods, including the god of SELF.  The god of SELF is the worst god out there, because it puts the reliance upon self-gratification & your own understanding.  God’s (Almighty God’s) ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.

The Old Testament law (613 commandments) was given to show just how fallible human-kind is.  When Moses went upon Mount Saini and received the 10 commandments on the tablets, the first commandment was = Thou shalt have NO other gods before me.  This includes the god of SELF, which is actually the ruler of ALL subsequent little “g” gods.  Luke 16:13 = No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

“Double-minded” & “stiff-necked” within scripture is depicting someone LITERALLY trying to serve two masters at the same time, giving them a twained heart.  When God in the Old Testament is speaking to the Israelites & telling them to repent, HE is telling them to turn from their trust in their selves & to HIM (to trust only HIM).  HE is telling them to stop serving their god of SELF and to trust/believe/follow/rely upon/ only HIM with all their HEARTS.

When Jesus came, HE spoke in the exact same manner.

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

When Jesus walked around with the disciples for HIS 3 & ½ years telling people to repent or ye shall all likewise perish, HE is telling them “TURN TO ME, TURN TO ME & YE SHALL BE SAVED.”  “TRUST & BELIEVE ONLY ME WITH ALL YOUR MIND, SOUL, & HEART – & YE SHALL BE SAVED.”

Subsequent passages throughout the rest of the Bible also speak this way, even in the ministry of Paul.  In the book of Revelation, we have a picture of salvation.

Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

AND in

Rev. 2:16 = (Talking to those that are lukewarm – which is also synonymous with a twained heart of trying to serve 2 masters.)  Repent (TURN TO ME, TRUST & BELIEVE ONLY ME); or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

Anything & everything we do for God cannot happen without HIM, including salvation.  We can’t even have salvation unless HE draws us first, knocking on the door of our hearts.  Repentance of turning to HIM occurs after HE knocks on the door of our hearts.  If we open the door of our hearts to HIM & trust/believe only HIM; grace & salvation happens, giving the entrance of the HOLY SPRIT.  The entrance of the HOLY SPIRIT begins our marriage to the Lamb of God.

After the entrance of the Holy Spirit, we continue repenting in many other forms = such as conviction, sorrow, turning from sin, & more.  Even this form of repentance requires complete reliance upon Christ.  After being bought by the price of HIM dying upon the cross, everything becomes HIS, EVERYTHING.  Then this becomes sole reliance upon HIM & only HIM.  This leaves with only serving one master = JESUS CHRIST.  A beautiful walk & fellowship with HIM now happens, making your LOVE FOR HIM TO GROW MORE.

Due to the fact of many megalithic churches not giving the whole picture of what repent means, this leaves a few that are hypocritical (“mouth professors, but not heart possessors”).   They will state turn from sin, but will forget to say TURN TO CHRIST & TRUST ONLY CHRIST.  So, when someone without understanding hears “repent” thinking of only “turn from your sin” they don’t turn to Christ & continue turning back to themselves.  Their faith then gets put into a prayer said, what some person/minister said, or in of themselves.  NO MAN COME UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME (JESUS).  If a person continues to turn to themselves for salvation (THE god OF SELF), – Salvation & the entrance of the HOLY SPIRIT does not happen.

With true saving faith, repentance is always going to be present = but not without turning away from SELF first & unto complete reliance/trust/belief of the whole HEART upon JESUS CHRIST after HE DRAWS YOU BY KNOCKING ON YOUR VERY HEART.
